Coleslaw

The classic Coleslaw recipe that has a place at every backyard party.
|
Ingredients
red cabbage | 1/2 | core removed and sliced thin |
cabbage | 1/2 | core removed and sliced thin |
carrot | 4 | peeled and grated |
mayonnaise | 1/2 cup | |
sour cream | 1/4 cup | |
cider vinegar | 2 Tbsps | |
sugar | 2 Tbsps | |
salt | 1/2 tsp | to taste |
black pepper | 1/2 tsp | to taste |
Directions
- In a large salad bowl combine the red cabbage, cabbage, and carrots.
- In a seperate bowl whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Add the dressing to the cabbage mixture and toss well.
- Cover with plastic and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to overnight.
Notes
If you like a sweeter tasting coleslaw add more sugar to taste.
