Maple Glazed Carrots. Very easy, very quick, and very tasty. This is an easy side dish that takes no time to prepare.

Ingredients


unsalted butter 2 Tbsps
baby carrots 2 lbs
maple syrup 1/2 cup
beef broth 1 3/4 cups
salt 1/4 tsp
black pepper 1/4 tsp


Directions

  1. In a frying pan melt the butter over medium heat. Add the carrots and stir making sure they are coated with the melted butter.
  2. Add the maple syrup, beef broth, salt, and pepper.
  3. Increase the heat to high, cover and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Uncover and continue to stir until the liquid reduces by half and begins to look like a glaze.


Notes

The key to this dish is to prepare it in a frying pan. You only want a single layer of carrots covering the pan. If your pan is not large enough to hold the desired quantity of carrots - cook them in batches.
