Piedmont-Lexington Pulled Pork Sauce Recipe. The classic West North Carolina Pulled Pork tomato based sauce. Either dip your pulled pork directly into the sauce or pour over your sandwich.

Ingredients
Sauce | ||
cider vinegar | 1 1/2 cups | |
ketchup | 3/4 cup | |
water | 3/4 cup | |
red pepper flakes | 1 pinch | |
cayenne pepper | 1/2 tsp | |
sugar | 2 Tbsps | to taste |
salt | 1 1/2 Tbsps | to taste |
black pepper | 1/2 tsp | to taste |
Directions
- In a saucepan combine the cider vinegar, ketchup, water, red pepper flakes, cayenne pepper, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
- Bring to a simmer and stir until the sugar has dissolve.
- Allow the sauce to cool before use.
